I would just like to begin this blog voicing my uncontrollable excitement at having new blog buddies. Welcome, Saandandi.
Wednesdays are good. Today was a good day. So was yesterday...what is with this good mood? I like being happy. It makes me even happier.
ARGH! Didn't indystar.com make you SO ANGRY?!? I can't believe the rudeness of some people, especially when they know nothing of the school or its students. So, somebody fell asleep. Big whoop.
So Sarah's mom works at the library? She must be very friendly. I agree that most librarians are sweet, though there used to be this one witch who worked at the children's department of BPL. I never liked her. I don't believe she still works there; at least, I haven't encountered her during my hour and ten minutes of volunteer work.
I love lists! I make them for everything (not only for organization, but for entertainment as well because I am JUST THAT COOL). Here's one for you, Abby:
Things that Confuse Me About Family Gatherings (as I just attended one)
1. Why are there always new people whom you don't know. Who was this Penny woman who complimented my hat? Very friendly...But what about the creepy guy that pulled on the string of my hat, chuckled, and then walked away? A little too friendly...
2. My grandmother ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS gets me confused with another cousin at least once at each gathering. She was talking to me about "my mother, Mary Beth". My mother's name is Toni. Mary Beth is my aunt.
3. What is with all of the beer? They are freaking beer connoisseurs, which is nothing to be proud of. The only other drink they offered was Sprite.
4. Somebody always has to tell me how much I look like a Brinkers. I know. I KNOW, okay. We have established this. I have the nose.
5. People always ask me about my school, which is perfectly fine with me, but then they always have to ask me if I paint. Sorry, you guys, I'm not artistic. Again, we have established this. I play the cello. Isn't this good enough?
That's all I've got for now.
Now, my top five favorite songs...for now...
1. Our House --Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young (I remember singing this in kindergarten and having the kids look at me funny)
2. Fly Me to the Moon --Frank Sinatra (one of five million of his wonderful songs)
3. Hey Jude --The Beatles (I swear, this song will never grow old)
4. "The Swan" from the Carnival of the Animals --Yo-Yo Ma (I desperately wish I could play this)
5. Sir Duke --Stevie Wonder (my dad and I used to dance to this, and he would lift me up at the end, and I would hit my head on the ceiling every time)
Ahh! I'm about to pull my hair out! That was much too stressful.
I agree that it is pointless to own something that you don't even like to touch or use in any way. Like dolls. Not only do they look a little creepy after a while (the collectible kind), but people become all snippy if you look at them.
I have to go do Latin. I am so tired.
But I've still got the hat that Penny likes on.
