Ahaha, I'm glad you love hearing about my family. They are so amazing. Without them, well, I just wouldn't have a sense of humor, aha. They really are great.
I'm glad your Grandma doesn't have Alzheimer's. Really. One of my great-grandmother's did and it has to be one of the most horrible things on this planet.
I hope you know I'm going to be examining your nose tomorrow now. I don't really have a Braughton anything, (there's no blood relation there) so I guess I have Linkel/Sommers/Willey/Something features. Whatever those may be, aha. I know I have my father's eyes, and his body type (the women in my family are really hourglass shaped, I've been called the rectangle of the family), but I guess my facial expressions and nose go to my mother's side. I have big teeth and a (literally, as you've seen) big mouth. Also, obviously big feet (as Tricia never ceases to bring up everyday). Bodies are so weird when you think about them.
I just don't understand what makes you think Frank is better than Dean. I don't understand that.
Ahaha, I deserve to go to England? I don't know. Math stardom doesn't get me that far in my family. My grandpa is in MENSA. There are high expectations. Anyways, yes, my step-dad is a musician. He claims he is big but I don't believe him, aha. He even has a MySpace music page, ahah. I don't like his stuff all that much, but it's alright, really.
So what is your sister studying for? If anyone deserves to go to England, Auds, it'd be you, aha. Not going to lie. I wouldn't be able to study abroad, I don't think. Well, just not alone. I'd have to have atleast one close person come with me.
I didn't mean to tell you I watch the Office naked and alone, but yes, I do. There's nothing wrong with that. First off, what's wrong with watching the Office alone? Secondly, what's wrong with being naked? Really?
You should do an art project about the secret lives of librarians. I would love to see that. My grandma was a fifth grade teacher, so I'm all about the secret lives of teachers. All people are really so interesting.
Ah, actors and actresses? That's hard. Especially top three.
Well, here goes. BUT it gets divided into two catergories...
New Hollywood
1. Natalie Portman (She does so many different roles, and does them well at that.)
2. Zach Braff (Amazing.)
3. Julia Roberts (She's probably the best actress/actor, period.)
But, if I were to meet an actress I'd really want to meet Drew Barrymore too, she's really good.
Old Hollywood
1. Audrey Hepburn (Of course.)
2. Fred Astaire (Of course.)
3. Clark Gable (Of course.)
4. Vivien Leigh (Just for her part in Gone With The Wind.)
Ah, that was hard. Now you have to do it.
And for a bonus, the five favorite objects that you own.
I wonder if you ended up putting walnuts in the brownies or not. Thanks for the help with the Kroger/Wal-Mart situation, and then the refridgeration situation. It is in the refridgerator now, waiting for when I wake up to be put in the freezer, aha. Homeroom is going to be so good. I'm skipping out breakfast for it, aha. I
Ahahah, I wonder what was with your mom's reaction to your birthday card. Try, try again, aha.
The only thing that is good for shredded lettuce is tacos. Even then. The way Taco Bell uses shredded lettuce is pretty good. Shredded lettuce goes good with that stuff. Nothing else, really. I hate having cuts on my hand becuase they burn all the time. AHEM. No, but really, I hate lotion so much. I just hate the greasiness of it. I cannot make myself use it.
Exactly! Maybe I just have a bad grasp of what's "too personal" or not? I just don't know, though. I think everyone should just be totally out there, as hypocritical as I'm being when I'm saying that. I think everyone being vulnerable would put everyone where they need to be, and to me that's in a really close range. Pretty equal. I'm not for this heirarchy that seems to be everywhere.
I think you would do very well owning your own bookstore, Auds. Have you ever seen the movie Notting Hill? I loved the bookstore he worked out. It looked so nice and crammed full of just books everywhere. I loved it. You really will do well.
I don't know what I want to do when I'm older anymore. We were talking in theatre class about our passions and I had to go and I was put on the spot so I was stuttering and all but I got it out, my passion lies with people. Emotions and feelings and the way people think and the conscience and just like I said (I realize I have a really bad tendency to rant, anyways) and Mary Lou (the very eccentric woman that comes in with Mr. McNeal for theatre class) was like what are you going to do with that? Psychiatrist? Ambassador? I just know whatever I'm going to do I want it to be with people.
I can't wait for you to finish Anna Karenina either. It's not giving such good fortunes anymore, aha. I could always bring my own book, I guess, but that's not how it goes, aha. I'm going to start a list of all the books I want/need to read and all the movies I want/need to see.
I don't know what my house smells like. What does it smell like, Auds? I will definitley tell you if your house is a little off. If I start cracking up five seconds within the door it's either because your mother has kicked me out already or because the smell of your house is just weird, ahah.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! How did that incident with your father even happen?! "...Shari Elf and Abby," ahahahahah!!! I'm going to die, Audrey. There's now way. How? Did you plot this? I do not even understand. How in the world did this occur, aha. I can't take it, ahaa. Man, I just don't even know.
So what're you going to be up to this weekend, Auds?
It's 10:30, and I am very tired. I'm going to go to bed, aha.
Goodnight!

Shredded Lettuce
Ahh! I love hearing about your wine-making, drunken family, as well as your tipsy grandma. My grandma does not have Alzheimers, she's always been forgetful. And yes, there is a Brinkers' nose. Apparently, I also have the smile (complete with large teeth) and big feet. The wide fingernails I have inherited from the Romack family.
Don't start about Dean. No. No, no, nope.
You deserve to go to England, and you should tell him so. Your stepdad is in a band? Oh goodness, I have just imagined my father in a band. I just started cracking up. My sister is going to study in England first semester next England, and I made my parents promise me that I can go. They'll forget, though, so I'm going to have to make some money.
Please don't tell me you watch the Office naked and by yourself. I'm not really sure what you are getting at there.
Librarians can certainly be creepy as well. Sometimes I wonder about my fellow workers...
Okay, three favorite actor/actresses--go! I would say books, but I think that would be basically impossible.
I am very much anticipating homeroom tomorrow. My friend Eileen is coming over to help me bake and decorate for my mother's birthday (let's see how she reacts...hopefully no more, "ummm...is this for me?"
You know what I hate?
I highly dislike salad with shredded lettuce.
You know what?
I think I just hate shredded lettuce. On anything.
I also hate having dirt under my cuticles because it creeps me out. Not that I mind getting dirty, it's just that cuticles have always worried me. I actually thoroughly enjoy having dirt under my nails. It makes me feel productive.
I am all for curiosity. Nosiness, even. Questions rock the world. Who DOESn't want to learn more.
I've always wanted to own a bookstore. I think I just might. Why do I have to do something that will guarantee me large quantities of money? I don't. I'm going to own a small bookstore when I'm older. I have just decided.
Your book sounds interesting. I can't wait to finish Anna Karenina. Not that I dislike it, but my patience is about GONE. I have the longest list of books to read in the entire world. It is crazy. Too bad I don't know where I put it...
Good smelling houses are always a plus. I'm always worried that my house's scent is off. You know how every house has its own smell, but the people who live in it can't tell? When you come over, you have to honestly tell me if it smells strange. I won't take it harshly.
My golly, I have forgotten to tell you the most fascinating thing in this crazy universe! My father said to me when I arrived home, "Why have I been invited to a knitting club?" I was very confused because I was thinking of my friends in the knitting club in Brownsburg, and I thought that they had asked him as a joke. That, however, would have been too normal. "What?" I asked. He replied, "A knitting club. With Abby. Why?" I was like, "Abby? Herron Abby? Or Cousin Abby?" And he said, "Herron Abby. I got this e-mail that said that I was invited to a knitting club with Shari Elf and Abby."
Do you have any idea how hard I laughed? I don't think you can imagine it. I am still lauging in my puzzled little mind. I'm still not sure how he got the e-mail, because I know that I didn't put his adress on it. Creepy, but absolutely hilarious.
I'm done here, Abby. I'm in a good mood, which means that you should be, too. Don't forget the apple cider.
Don't start about Dean. No. No, no, nope.

Ah,
Thursday night. The To Do list that is my agenda book has listed plenty for me to do, so it's not like I'll ever see boredom tonight. Also, the Office is on tonight. Even though I'll be be watching it alone (unusual) it's still exciting. It's always better when you aren't cracking up in your living room alone, naked, eating cereal straight out of the box. There's always a measure of depression about that, aha.
I love having Blog Buddies. Not going to lie. It deserves to be capitalized.
Auds, I'm glad you've been in a good mood. Your good mood puts me in a good mood, aha. Really, really.
IndyStar did make me angry. Especially about the whole knife situation. They had NO right to go there, let alone did they know anything about the situation. I've learned more about it just a little while ago. It makes me so sad. I can't believe that kid was sleeping in that picture though, aha. How stupid. Well, atleast that's realism for you.
SARAH'S MOM WORKS AT A LIBRARY?!? Ah, goodness!! I have to meet this woman, aha. Although, Ands has had some scary stories about her, aha. Librarians are so mysterious. Really. It isn't all books and cats for the lot of them. You have to keep that in mind, as hard as it is to imagine anything else.
Look at you, Auds. An hour and ten minutes into changing the world.
I love lists too!! Don't say you are JUST THAT COOL because that makes me feel like a nerd, aha. I love, love love them, aha.
In response to your list:
1. I do not understand why there are always random, new middle-aged people at family gatherings. Where do they come from? Why did they come? Unfortunately, we are looked down on if we ask this questions. You know, speaking of that. I really don't think it was the fact that the cat was curious that killed it. I think it was lack of common sense. Really. What's wrong with constructive curiosity? I'm tired of getting in trouble just for wanting to know something, aha.
2. All I have to say is, regardless to whether your Grandmother is affected by this or not. the cure for Alzheimer's should come before anything else, besides AIDS.
3. My family makes their own wine. You should see our house during the summer, especially on Sunday's. That's usually when everyone shows up randomly and brings food and everyone's swimming and there is a whole lot of drinking with the 21+ crowd of the family, aha. I can definitley relate to the whole beer connoisseurs.
4. Ahaha, there is a distinctive Brinkers nose? That's nice, really, it is, aha. I've been told I look a lot like my mom, but oddly my older sister disagrees and says only when I'm grouchy do I look like my mom, ahah.
5. Ahaha, the cello is definitley enough. I think learning music is harder than painting or drawing. I don't know.
Ah, Auds, don't pull your hair out. I love my family gatherings. My grandma gets a little tipsy and oh, golly, ahaha. It's always good. She's getting more outspoken with her age, and oh my, she is hilarious. Oh, man. Ahaha, I really can't take it. Man, she is just so great. Golly, aha.
Hm, I was going to make a list but I don't know what about? Inspiration, anyone?
Top Songs (Also, For Now)
1. "Couches In Alleys" Styrofoam (ft. Ben Gibbard) (Genius.)
2. "Broadripple Is Burning" Margot & The Nuclear So and So's (Yes, our own Broadripple. Also mentions Fountain Square.)
3. "Let It Be" The Beatles (If a Beatles song is not one of your all-time tops you have no taste.)
4. "Arriverderci, Roma" DEAN MARTIN (We've had this fight plenty of times, Auds. You know what I'm talking about.)
5. "Mushaboom (Postal Service Remix)" Feist (A perfect driving song.)
Music really is so good for the soul, aha.
AHAHA! FUNNY YOU MENTION DOLLS!! In this book I'm reading (Possible Side Affects, Augesten Burroughs) they go to this bed and breakfast where the lady collects a lot of dolls and pressures them into eating her waffles at 8 in the morning. It's a funny book. Possibly one I will force you to read, aha. You can force me to read something if you want, Auds. I.O.U.
We are having Pizza Hut tonight!
My step-dad is going to England for two weeks this summer, to play with his band, I will hate him if he doesn't take me.
Thank you for telling me what a Peruvian hat is.
Winter hats are really so great.
So are good smelling houses. I love that.
I hope you don't mind rants?

I really do like this hat...
I would just like to begin this blog voicing my uncontrollable excitement at having new blog buddies. Welcome, Saandandi.
Wednesdays are good. Today was a good day. So was yesterday...what is with this good mood? I like being happy. It makes me even happier.
ARGH! Didn't indystar.com make you SO ANGRY?!? I can't believe the rudeness of some people, especially when they know nothing of the school or its students. So, somebody fell asleep. Big whoop.
So Sarah's mom works at the library? She must be very friendly. I agree that most librarians are sweet, though there used to be this one witch who worked at the children's department of BPL. I never liked her. I don't believe she still works there; at least, I haven't encountered her during my hour and ten minutes of volunteer work.
I love lists! I make them for everything (not only for organization, but for entertainment as well because I am JUST THAT COOL). Here's one for you, Abby:
Things that Confuse Me About Family Gatherings (as I just attended one)
1. Why are there always new people whom you don't know. Who was this Penny woman who complimented my hat? Very friendly...But what about the creepy guy that pulled on the string of my hat, chuckled, and then walked away? A little too friendly...
2. My grandmother ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS gets me confused with another cousin at least once at each gathering. She was talking to me about "my mother, Mary Beth". My mother's name is Toni. Mary Beth is my aunt.
3. What is with all of the beer? They are freaking beer connoisseurs, which is nothing to be proud of. The only other drink they offered was Sprite.
4. Somebody always has to tell me how much I look like a Brinkers. I know. I KNOW, okay. We have established this. I have the nose.
5. People always ask me about my school, which is perfectly fine with me, but then they always have to ask me if I paint. Sorry, you guys, I'm not artistic. Again, we have established this. I play the cello. Isn't this good enough?
That's all I've got for now.
Now, my top five favorite songs...for now...
1. Our House --Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young (I remember singing this in kindergarten and having the kids look at me funny)
2. Fly Me to the Moon --Frank Sinatra (one of five million of his wonderful songs)
3. Hey Jude --The Beatles (I swear, this song will never grow old)
4. "The Swan" from the Carnival of the Animals --Yo-Yo Ma (I desperately wish I could play this)
5. Sir Duke --Stevie Wonder (my dad and I used to dance to this, and he would lift me up at the end, and I would hit my head on the ceiling every time)
Ahh! I'm about to pull my hair out! That was much too stressful.
I agree that it is pointless to own something that you don't even like to touch or use in any way. Like dolls. Not only do they look a little creepy after a while (the collectible kind), but people become all snippy if you look at them.
I have to go do Latin. I am so tired.
But I've still got the hat that Penny likes on.

I'm excited for tomorrow.
Wednesday's are always pretty good, really. Also, we've got DBQ's and I've got art club! Why I get so excited about just spending more time at school I really don't know, but I do, aha.
Since you mentioned that IndyStar deal I went on and posted too. It's so nice that there were more students who had already posted it. Ah, golly, I love our school, aha.
Of course I mentioned you in my acceptance speech, Auds. You are the one take makes me keep up in school, aha. Your assignment book method really is amazing. I love it, aha. It already looks like I'm doing something just by looking in my assignment book. Although I've got a lot to do, ah well.
I wonder why a library is just so comforting. Possibly all the nice old ladies working there? I have never encountered a mean librarian. I really haven't. I've heard stories, but I've never met one myself. I can't see it. Who picks out everything that goes into the library?
You've never been to Disneyworld? Wow.
I don't really know how to respond to that other than we really are going to have to get you there. Sure, it's not all that great, but it's just kind of necessary. I like Epcot though, and Tomorrowland. It really is a neat place now that I think about it. I wonder what kind of a guy Walt Disney was like?
AHAHAHA! I loved your "ass" story. I wish something did happen, ahah. What would you do?
Voicemails freak me out. It's like if someone leaves a voicemail, that means it was something important. Usually important means bad, so I just don't like it. There are three unheard voicemails on my phone right now. Also, if I don't know the number, I won't answer it. That freaks me out too. I don't like not knowing why people call. Even if they are just calling for conversation, I want to be told, "I am just calling you for conversation," aha. Maybe that's weird.
My favorite Thanksgiving food has to be the noodles. I love, love, love noodles. They are so good. Ah, I love Thanksgiving leftovers. Thanksgiving is such a good holiday. You remember that show Doug? How everyone in his town got together for Thanksgiving? I wish Indianapolis did that. That'd be so fun.
I hate when people have things they don't touch or mess with. They just have them to look at. I really don't get the point in that. Even if it's something nice to look at, I don't care. It still doesn't make sense to at the least just pick it up every once in awhile. Although, there are some exceptions. Like things dead relatives have left that you were close too. If you have a logical reason not to pick up up and love it but not throw it away, then you're good, is what I'm saying.
Some Like It Hot is such a funny movie, haha. I love it. I loved Casablanca too. It's very overrated, yes, but I'm definitley a sucker for it, aha.
No, the top movie lines can't be ever. Ever is always changing around, aha.
Top five songs, GO!
I don't know why I love reading people's lists of random things. I love the Big Book of Lists. Lists are always so interesting. Maybe I'm nosey, but is that really a bad thing?
How can people not love Herron? If they don't they just don't have a sense of humor, and by the end of the year they will have one. Then they will love it. Herron is an acquired taste, most definitley.
I'm so glad I have seminar tomorrow. I'm going to try to actually do something in there this time, aha. I want Hobbs to get a blog, that'd be so fun, aha.
I think I'm going to go to bed? I'm pretty tired. I have to drive to school tomorrow. Golly, aha.
Night, Auds.
Since you mentioned that IndyStar deal I went on and posted too. It's so nice that there were more students who had already posted it. Ah, golly, I love our school, aha.

I'm not good at picking my favorite movie quotes...
I know you did it, Abby! I was extremely grateful for my shout-out during your acceptance speech.
I love the library too. It is so quiet and it has that library smell and you know that when you leave, you will have a stack of amzing books with you. It is the happiest place on earth. Forget Disney (though I've never actually been there, so I wouldn't know how they compare).
One time in third grade I wanted to see if I would get in trouble if I typed a cuss word in the computer. I don't know what I expected to happen...maybe a siren would go off? So I typed "ass". Nothing happened, and I backspaced immediately. Good times.
What is this phobia of voicemails? I've never been a big fan because you can never hear them correctly, but I would never consider that a phobia.
I loooove Thanksgiving. I think my favorite food is the macaroni and cheese my mom makes. And I really like the turkey and noodles she makes the next day with the leftovers. I saw these blue moccasins and was like, "Abby!" They were pretty awesome. I hate perfect books. All of mine have to be slightly messed up; that is the only proof that they have been read and properly loved.
I love that part of Some Like It Hot! Pure genius. I have seen Garden State and I adored it (though, as I wrote before, I pretty much love every movie I see). Casablanca had some good lines, but I found it overrated. My hopes were impossible to reach, however, because everyone always talked about how amazing it was.
My top three movie quotes (is this ever? I am assuming...)
1. "Do you mind if I call you Fred?" --Breakfast at Tiffany's (the one, the only...Audrey Hepburn)
2. "You know, Jenny, you're not that great looking." "I know, but can I help it if you think so?" --Love Story
3. "Telling you to come back and forgive everything/Seasons may change, winter to spring/but I love you" --Moulin Rouge (the greatest ending as long as you stop it at the right part and act like they run away together instead of what REALLY happens)
Today after school, I went to the yearbook meeting where I was informed by Sarah of the harsh comments made on indystar.com toward our school. When I arrived home, I ate chicken and green beans. I then went on indystar.com and commented back to the morons who choose to disrespect Herron. I talked on the phone, was distracted from my history homework, and ate apple crisp. I am now writing to you and preparing to work on my history once again. Exciting, huh?
It would be fascinating to have Herron posts.
I love our school.
Looking forward to down-by-the-banks tomorrow.

MATH STAR!!!
Math Star day did come.
You don't even know how happy I am.
I finally did it, aha.
Somehow this feels better than Student of the Year award way back in fifth grade.
I can't wait to hang it up. I might give it to you. Possibly a photo copy, aha. I owe you a lot, Auds. Love ya, love ya lots.
What are your three favorite movie quotes?
1. "Of all the gin goints in all the towns in all the world she had to walk into mine." Casablanca (I love, love, love that line, aha.)
2. "Well, nobody's perfect." Some Like It Hot
3. " I know it hurts. But it's life, and it's real. And sometimes it fucking hurts, but it's life, and it's pretty much all we got. " Garden State (Best movie ever, have you seen it?)
Man, there are such good quotes out there. I guess that's why they are quotes, aha.
What have you done today Auds?
I got in the car after school, and that's when we went to go pick up my sister. After we got home, I went to my room and realized how messy it is, and got my library books. I drove to the library to return them. The library is very reminiscent of you, ahaha. I got a bunch of CD's I've been wanting, though. I'm happy about that. Then I came home and ate dinner (a steak quesadilla) and now I'm here! I'm about to do some homework, maybe clean my room. Tomorrow are DV(B?)Q'S! DOWN BY THE BANKS TOURNAMENT!
I realize that I have a phobia of voicemails left on my phone.
Our blog will become popular. Who wouldn't want to read our lives? Seriously? I love hearing people's life stories. Everyone at Herron (or the world) needs to get one of these. They're addicting, too. I check it like fifty times a day, aha.
I really do love our homeroom. I don't believe my shadow was as appreciative, ahah. I don't think she liked me all that much either. She thought I was weird, aha. :/
Spaghetti night, t-minus four days! I am psyched. Good food, good movies, good people. Sounds like an advertisement for a good Friday night, aaha.
I do want to take a moment to reflect on how good of music taste the library has. Really, it's fantastic. I found Bright Eyes' new album there. Twenty dollars for free. I love the library. I want to go to Interim sometime this week. I've never been. It looks cozy, aha. I would love to just live in a library. The yellow lighting always makes me sleepy anyway.
There are really weird songs coming from my living room.
You need to listen to "Four Winds" by Bright Eyes.
If you don't, I'll make you another CD with that on it, aha.
Thanksgiving is coming soon! What's your favorite Thanksgiving food?
I really love my moccasins.
I love stretching out my legs after they have been in a cramped position for a long time too.
I have a bad habit of chewing on my thumb and grabbing my hair.
I don't know what this rant is for?
Later, Auds.
